When: Friday, October 19, 2018 - 11:00 a.m.
Where: Murrysville Community Library

We will be offering a class, “Fit Not Frail, Basic Workout Plus Class” on Fridays, October 12, 19, 26, and November 2 at 11:00 AM.
Click here to register. Below is a description of the class by Instructor, Darlene Skupien.

"You are invited to join me as I teach you a great little workout that takes a preventive, rehabilitative approach to fitness---that will stabilize your spine, strengthen your joints, build stronger bones and a healthy cardiovascular system. The Basic Workout PlusTM was developed over 25 years ago by fitness physiologist, Teresa Tapp (www.t-tapp.com) whose workouts have been showcased on PBS both locally and nationally, has a 4-star rating on Amazon, is endorsed by many health professionals, and has withstood the test of time. This workout takes a physical therapy approach to fitness and is a great little workout for adults 45-80 who are ready to age fit not frail. During my 4-week workshop, I will teach you the correct form for the sequences so you reap the optimal benefit for this rehabilitative workout. The Basic Workout Plus targets a minimum of 4-6 muscle groups per sequence, done in a specific order for maximum effectiveness, in just 4 feet of space, and with no special equipment. Wear comfortable workout clothes, sturdy sneakers, and bring a small towel and water. There is no floor work… all sequences are done standing and are low impact on joints. Please sign up if you can commit to 4 weeks as each session builds upon the other!"
