Summer Reading 2024

All ages are invited to join us for this year’s Summer Reading Program, Adventure Begins at Your Library!

Do you want to go on an adventure this summer? Visit the library this summer to go on a quest to discover your new favorite book and take part in diverse programs! Registration on Beanstack begins Monday, June 10th, with the program running through August 2nd. As part of this year’s theme, we’ll feature fun stories, activities, and events all centered on adventure, set to inspire reading and a love of learning among all ages. Children, teens, and adults are invited to participate by downloading Beanstack through the app or desktop version. If you don’t already have an account, register and select Murrysville Community Library as your home library. Interested participants can also contact the library to sign up.

Through Beanstack, participants can track their reading, take part in activity challenges, earn virtual badges, and enter to win prizes. Pre-readers, children who are not yet reading on their own, can share in reading with their grown-up. Independent readers, 1st-6th grade, can have fun reading to complete their reading goals. Children who complete their reading goal get a free book! Adults and Teens have their own program too! To see all the Adult and Teen programs, please check out our Beanstack, browse the online calendar, or stop by the library to pick up more information.

Children who have signed up on Beanstack are invited to pick up a registration bag at the library, filled with a print reading log and other fun surprises too! Children who reach their reading goal by July 31st can stop by the library to pick up a Participation Certificate and invitation to the library’s End of Summer Reading Party on August 2nd featuring the magician Steve Haberman, Kona Ice, and more.

Join in the fun from home, at the library, or from wherever you are! Check the library’s online summer calendar and summer reading newsletter for more information about activities happening each week.
